Biography

Mattea Siciliano is born and baptized on 29 March 1889, named after a maternal aunt who recently died. She is the daughter of Antonio Siciliano and Ninfa Oliveri. Her godparents are Saverio Siciliano and Rosa, his unmarried sister.^[1] (Saverio and Rosa may be her own brother and sister, named after their paternal grandparents. I have not yet found a record of Saverio.)

Mattea's sister, Francesca, marries Antonino Cuccia, the son of Bernardo Cuccia and Biagia Gennaro, on 4 June 1905.

Mattea marries Salvatore Cuccia, Antonino's brother, on 20 January 1907. Her parents are both still living.^[2]
