Born 4 June 1752[1] in Anson County, North Carolina Province. Joshua's grandfather is known to have migrated in 1747 to Sherrill's Ford, present-day Catawba County, with his sons, including William Sherrill. It is most likely that Joshua Sherrill was born at or near Sherrill's Ford. April Dauenhauer
