Biography

Attie was born in 1893. She is the daughter of Anders Selle and Marit Ulateig.[1][2]

In the 1895 Minnesota Census for Madelia village in Watonwan County, Minnesota we find[3]:

  • Andrew Selle (39– born in Norway),
  • his wife Mary Selle (40– born in Norway),
  • Hannah Selle (19– born in Norway),
  • Annie Selle (16 – born in Norway),
  • Olaf Selle (14 – born in America),
  • Minnie Selle (12 – born in America),
  • Mable Selle (10 – born in America),
  • Lewis Selle (7 – born in America), and
  • Attie Selle (2 – born in America).

He and his family appear again in the Madelia, Watonwan County, Minnesota during the 1900 US Census. His family is enumerated as follows[4]:

  • Selli, Andrew - Head of household - Sept 1855 - married 25 years. He (age 44) is head of household and working as a plasterer. He was born in Norway and entered the USA in 1880.
