Florence Gertrude Seed was born before 27 October 1872 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, daughter of Richard Seed (1849–1918) and Lena Taylor (1850–1920).^{[1] [2]}

In 1881, Florence (8) was in the household of Sarah Seed in Halifax, Yorkshire, Yorkshire West Riding. ^[3]

In 1891, Florence G (18) was in the household of her father, Richard, in Skircoat, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. ^[4]

Florence married Samuel Ernest Greenslade (born in 1875 in Halifax) in 1902 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England.^[6] Their children were:
