Biography

Szabo and Sebő are two entirely different surnames with different meanings. In the earlier Szin Reformed records, one particular minister sometimes wrote the surname as "Szabo" which made it harder to differentiate from another family whose surname was actually Szabo. General consensus is that this minister did not differentiate the spelling for two completely different families in a certain time period in these Reformed records in Szin.

The surname of this family branch, Sebő, stayed consistent in other records, even in earlier records like the 1828 land census ^[1]. Also in the 1700's Tax Rolls, it is spelled Sebő .
