Glenn T. Seaborg was a Nobel prize-winning chemist. He discovered and researched 10 transuranium elements, the most well-known of them being plutonium. Later on, another element, seaborgium, was named in his honor.

Family

His parents were Herman Theodore (Ted) and Selma Olivia (Erickson) Seaborg. He had one sister, named Jeanette, who was two years younger than him. His family spoke Swedish at home.
