My interest in the Cataldo family stems from my suspicion verging on certainty that my grandmother Philomena (later Augustine) was the 1st or 3rd daughter of Giovanni and Beatrice Cataldo but was informally adopted out, as was her sister Mary Cataldo (later Rose).
