John was born in 1682, presumptively on 3 Apr 1682, in Suffolk City, Virginia.^[1] Another record shows 3 Feb 1682^[2], which presumably is old style, thus accounting for the two-month difference.

Marriage

His marriage to Joan Tooke by some sources appears to have been on 13 Apr 1706 in Levy Neck, Isle of Wight, Virginia.^[3]
