Biography
Leahla Ethel Schmid was born in 1890 in Missouri to Lewis Schmid in and Mary (Webster) McReynolds.[1],[2],[3] Leahla moved with her mother and her maternal grandparents to Oklahoma when Leahla was three years of age.[2] Leahla's half-siblings are named in her obituary.[3]
Leahla married William Barnett England when she was 17. The couple had at least four children, including:
- Paul England (1908–1909)
- Lee Elwood England (1910–1985)
- Erma Zeruiah England(1912–1990) and
- Merle Barnett 'Mickey' England (1920–1965)
