Biography
He possibly arrived in Melbourne from Plymouth in December 1869 on the immigrant ship Charlotte Gladstone.
He and Emma Jane Le Brun were married in the Wesleyan Church, and is where his surname was recorded as Scannell ..Unlike his Death Certificate which has his surname spelled as Scannel ? He was age 30 when he married and no middle name was recorded.
He died age 48 on Birthday Station west of Port Augusta. Online death records have his name as John James Scannel. He was living in Port Lincoln.
