I've been hooked on this genealogy habit since I retired in late 1999.
THEY CAME TO MILTON Tracing the westward migrations of the colonial Seventh-day Baptists. Milton, Wisconsin was one of their most successful settlements. One of the reasons was the founding and support of Milton College. Other SDB settlements well represented in my research include Hopkinton and Westerly, RI; Berlin, Brookfield, Alfred, Little Genesee, Verona, and Adams, NY; Albion, Utica, and Walworth, WI; Farina and West Hallock, IL; Garwin and Welton, IA; Dodge Center, MN; Nortonville, KS; and North Loup, NE. See www.seventhdaybaptist.org
So far I have been able to cross-reference over 49 thousand individuals in my tree file to their memorials on Find a Grave. I leave a flower on each memorial for which I have submitted edits.
FYI: As I continue my documentation quest, I transcribe obituaries from the Sabbath Recorder publication on an almost daily basis. I send each one to a Seventh-day Baptist mail list. If you would like to follow along, you can subscribe for free at: https://groups.io/g/Seventh-Day-Baptist
