Joseph Saulquin was first married to Marie (Marie Françoise) Trudel on 13 Nov 1725 in St-François-d'Assise de la Longue-Pointe (on Montréal island)[1]

On the baptism of his daughter Marie Louise Charlotte on 9 Dec 1749 he is listed as huissier à la prévôté de Montréal (this child died 16 months later)[2]

Death

He was present at the marriage of his son Jean Baptiste on 27 June 1763 in Repentigny. Either he or his namesake son is witness at the marriage of Louis Gautier and Thérèse Tessier on 12 Feb 1765 in Repentigny. He is not found on any other record after this. He predeceased his wife, according to her funeral record of 15 Aug 1771[2]

Saulquin-7 and Saulquin-4 appear to represent the same person because: same man, Saulquin-7 has the 1st wife, and Saulquin-4 has the 2nd wife, mother needs merging into Moreau-223 as that is the correct name.
