Private Enoch Sanborn served with Lincoln County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Enoch Sanborn is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A099720.

Enoch Sanborn was baptized at Hampton, New Hampshire, 28 Jun 1724, died at Machias, Maine, in 1778. During the American Revolutionary War, Enoch enlisted as a Private in Captain Joseph Sevey's company, under Colonel Benjamin Foster, in the Lincoln county Regiment. Enoch is honored for his military service by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as Ancestor #A099720. DAR records indicate that his wives names were Mary Morrill, Sarah Greene Sanborn, Phebe Sanborn and Hannah Day. Application for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the desendants of his son John Sanborn, who married Elizabeth "Betsey" Parker. [1]

Enoch had nine children by four wives: three children by Mary Morrill or Morrell (#1); none by Sarah Green (#2); five by Phebe Sanborn (#3); and one by Hannah (_____) (#4); m (1) at Hampton, 31 Dec 1747, Mary Morrill, d [probably at Hampton] bef 27 Sep 1752, when Enoch m (2) at Hampton, 27 Sep 1752, as her second husband, Sarah Green, b at Hampton, 10 Aug 1720, the daughter of Benjamin Green and Elizabeth Brown, d there 1754; m (3) probably at Hampton, c1755, his second cousin, Phebe Sanborn, b at Hampton, 10 Jan 1724/25, daughter of Jabez Sanborn and Abial Marston; m (4) 1772, perhaps at Hampton, Hannah (_____), d [probably at Machias] 4 Apr 1824.
