Harry Franklin "Slim" Sallee was born on 3 Feb 1885.[1] at Higginsport, Brown, Ohio.[2][3][4] He was the son of William F. Sallee and Elizabeth Reed.[2]

Harry got his nickname, Slim, because he was 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 180 pounds. Slim Sallee was was left-handed pitch in professional baseball. He played for the Cincinnati Reds, the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Giants. His Win–loss record was 174–143 and his Earned run average was 2.56. In 1900, Harry Sallee lived with his parents, William and Elizebeth Sallee, and sister Mary in Higginsport, Brown, Ohio.[5]

In 1910, Harry Sallee, a professional baseball player in the National League, lived in Higginsport, Brown, Ohio, with his father William Sallee and a sister. William was a laborer in a tobacco warehouse.[6]

Katherine Roberts, 25, and Harry F. Sallee, 28, received a Marriage License on 21 Oct 1913 at St. Louis County, Missouri.[7] When he registered for the World War 1 Draft on 12 Sept 1918, Harry Franklin Sallee (indexed as Sallie), 33, worked as a farmer for himself in Feesburg, Brown, Ohio. His nearest relative was Catherine Sallee. Harry was tall and slender, with blue eyes and dark hair.[1]

In 1920, Harry F. Sallee lived in Feesburg, Brown, Ohio, with his wife Kate and his mother-in-law. Harry was a ball player for the National League.[8]

When he registered for the World War 2 Draft in 1942, Harry Franklin Sallee was living in Cincinnati. He said that he was 57 years old and worked at Fred's Cafe. He lived at 3069 Beekman St., Cincinnati, and the person who would also know his address was Catherine Sallee of the same home address.[4]

He died on 23 March 1950 at Higginsport. At thetime of his his, Slim was 65 years old and was a restaurant owner. The informant on his Death Certificate was Mrs. Harry Dugan.[9] He is buried at the Confience Cemetery, Georgetown, Brown, Ohio,[10] where he shares a gravestone with Catherine Sallee, 1889-1948.
