Hello Vesa,

During the winter, the Nordic Project performed check-ins, sent as a private message from your profile. You are one of those members who has not replied, and this is a last chance to get in touch and let us know if you like to continue as member in the Nordic Project.

Please answer this comment, and get in touch by sending my Co-Leader, Missy Berryann (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Berryann-1) a private message. If we have not heard from you within a month you will be removed from the Nordic google group and your badge will be removed.

If you have not received any check-in emails, you might want to check that your email address for WikiTree is one you actually still use.

Thank you!

T.L. Koehnline

Co-Leader, Nordic Project

hello thank you for suggesting the Merge of Clemetsson-28 and Clemetsson Kanni-1. From your comment, do I understand right that correct LNAB should be Kanni (no patronym)?
posted by H Husted
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, in my opinion Kanni would be correct.

Hi! Are you interested in participating in this year's Spring Clean-a-thon on April 23? We would appreciate all the help we can get even if you only have a moment to clear a few errors (Scandinavian or not, doesn't matter). If you are interested you can sign up on the following link, let them know you want to be on Team Nordic Noir (formerly Spic-n-Span Scandinavians):

Hi Vesa, Thanks for helping with all the merges. It is really appreciated.
Hannu-2 ja Uotila-134 yhdistäminen on varmaan perusteltua, mutta perheet ovat sitten väärät; eri vaimot. Vaatii jatkoselvitystä.

Hi Vesa, my wife is Finnish, we live in Warwickshire, England and now we are here visiting her relatives in Finland, many north of the Arctic Circle. I'm showing people WikiTree but realizing that it is daunting for non-English speakers to make contributions. Do you know if there is a translated version of WikiTree? I guess creating one would be a mammoth task.

Language is a major barrier in a project like WikiTree which aims to establish a world tree.

Hi Vesa,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello Vesa,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
