Ruby Loloma Ruddle was born about 1889 in Queensland (Australia). She was the daughter of Newman Ruddle and Ellen Eastes.
Ruby married Reverend Arthur Forbes, on 1st March 1911 in Bundaberg Methodist Church, Bundaberg, Queensland. [1] Although was initially affiliated with the Baptist Union but changed to the Churches of Christ in 1912. The couple moved frequently, as was the nature of Christian ministry then, from Beaudesert to Albion, Queensland; (from 1914) to Belmore and Auburn, New South Wales; (from 1923) to Croydon, South Australia; (from 1927) to Brighton, Victoria; (from 1940) to Mile End, South Australia; and (from 1944) to Hamilton, Victoria. Other re-locations were possible whilst Arthur worked in military chaplaincy in 1919-23 (locations unknown) and 1941-44 (South Australia and Albury, New South Wales). Their three daughers were born whilst at Albion (1912) and Belmore (1914 and 1917). Arthur became ill in 1946 and the couple retired to Sandringham in Melbourne's south west, where he died that April.
Ruby passed away, aged 79 years, in 1968 in Prahran, Victoria. [2]
