Sarah was born in 1822 in Cockermore, Buckinghamshire, England, according to the 1851 Census. Sarah, daughter of Philip Rudd and Mary Squires, was baptised on 11 November 1822 in Saint Mary, Luton, Bedford, England.^[1][2]

Sarah, daughter of Philep Rudd, married Joseph Squires on 10 August 1843 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England.^[3]

In the 1851 census Sarah (age 28) was the wife of Joseph Squires in Newton Longville, Buckinghamshire, England.^[4]

Sarah (age 30) arrived on the ship Persian on 27 December 1852 in Melbourne and Victoria, Australia having departed from Plymouth^[5]Passenger List

Sarah's husband died in 1859. Sarah married William Collins in 1863.

"Sarah Rudd was aged 29 when she arrived in the colony of Port Phillip in 1852 on the Persian, with first husband Joseph Squires, and her four sons Ernest 7, Thomas 5, Edward 3, Walter one (d1853 aged 23 months) then followed by colonial births of Jesse Partidge 1854 Melbourne, Arthur James 1856 Collingwood, and Alfred Warranadyte 1858.

Her husband died in 1859, then she remarried, to William Collins in 1863, residing at Andersons Creek."
