"Sarah Rudd was aged 29 when she arrived in the colony of Port Phillip in 1852 on the Persian, with first husband Joseph Squires, and her four sons Ernest 7, Thomas 5, Edward 3, Walter one (d1853 aged 23 months) then followed by colonial births of Jesse Partidge 1854 Melbourne, Arthur James 1856 Collingwood, and Alfred Warranadyte 1858.
Her husband died in 1859, then she remarried, to William Collins in 1863, residing at Andersons Creek."
