Biography

Thomas was born in 1823. He is the son of George Rowe and Maria Whiley.

Thomas, son of George & Maria Whiley, was born on 21 November 1823 and baptised on 24 December 1823 in Swaffham, Norfolk, England.^[1]

NOTE - There is another baptism - Thomas, son of George Rowe & Maria Whiley, was baptised on 24 December 1832 in Swaffham, Norfolk, England. There is no image of this baptism but its believed it is a mis-transcription as the real baptism being 24th dec 1823 and then this extra one being the 24th Dev 1832 makes it look likely. There is also no burial for the Thomas born in 1823. ^[2]

In the 1841 census, the family was in Lynn Street Reeves Yard, Swaffham, Norfolk, England.^[3]

Thomas was in a criminal register in 1844 in Great Britain for larceny .^[4]
