Earl Scott Rowe was born on 14 Jul 1894 in Newport, Penobscot, Maine. He was the son of Winfield Scott Rowe and his wife Ezalie May Smith.
At age 22 Earl registered for the World War I Draft in Skowhegan, Somerset, Maine. He served in the U.S. Navy from 14 Dec 1917 to11 Jul 1919; he was discharged from the service in Hingham, Massachusetts.
At age 28 Earl married Mabel Perreault on 28 Feb 1923 in Portsmouth, Rockingham, New Hampshire. Earl died at age 86 on 10 Jul 1981 in Skowhegan, Somerset, Maine; he was buried in Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan.
