Growing up, I have always been interested in my background and luckily now the internet makes it easier to find out more information. I have recently moved to Copenhagen and would like to explore the areas in which my heritage is from.
I lived in Wyoming for a few years so I have explored a lot on my mom's Mormon side in Brigham City and Salt Lake City.
I am missing a lot of information on my dad's side. At some point my last name was changed when family was moving to the US from the Azores. I also have roots in Switzerland but information has been lost in recent generations.
Immediate Surnames: Dad dad's dad: Rose (Garcia Da Rosa?) - Azores - Dad's dad's mom: Baptista - Azores - Dad's mom's dad: Britschgi - Switzerland - Dad's mom's mom: Blake - England -
Mom's dad's dad: Jeppson - Sweden - Mom's dad's mom: Horne - England - Mom's mom's dad: Robinette - England/Prussia - Mom's mom's mom: Smith - England -
DNA testing is very interesting, I used 23andMe which claimed I was about half German although the above notes show I should have pulled from the English side. However, most of my family that are English moved to the US in the 1600s. Family from Switzerland and Portugal moved here in the early 1900s.
