Biography

John Chiene Ronald, son of Thomas Ronald & Janet Brown, was born on 1 September 1823 and baptised on 14 September 1823 in Crail, Fife, Scotland.[1]

John (27) married Margaret McGhee (21) (born in 1829 in Ireland; daughter of James McGhee and Ann Dixon) in 1851 in Victoria, Australia.[2] Their children were[3]:

Margaret died in 1874.

John (53) married Barbara Wemyss Anderson (58) (born on April 5, 1818 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland; daughter of William Anderson and Sarah Yeaman) in 1877 in Victoria, Australia.[4]

John died on September 26, 1893 in Fitzroy North, Melbourne, Colony of Victoria, aged about 69.[5] He was laid to rest at Melbourne General Cemetery, Carlton North, Victoria, Australia.[6]
