Joseph and Patty are 9th cousins via Robert Bolling Jr (1683-1749).
It's always nice to meet a cousin! It looks like we may also be 9th cousins through Robert Ferris Woodson (1662-1715) https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Woodson-966. I haven't trace this line back this far, but it might be correct.
It's also nice to know someone who is a part of the US Black Heritage Project.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
Kind regards,
Pippin Sheppard – WikiTree Greeter
Thank you. I liked the format of that certification process. It wasn't a test, but it was at the same time. I think I learned more from that than any test I could have taken. Kudos to whoever thought of that!
Thanks again!

I first started out as a rookie, just working on my immediate family members. But as I found more connections I got better at working on my tree. I think you will enjoy the experience once you get comfortable being here. I know I have! Note: If the link doesn't work in your email, you can find them in the public comments on your profile page. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.
