Biography

Carl William Robinson as a baby

In 1936, Carl and his family moved west to Grays Harbor County, Washington with his maternal aunt, a twin to his mother.^[4] Unfortunately, his aunt died shortly after the move.

Carl grew up in Raymond, Washington and attended Raymond High School.^[4][5]

In October of 1951, Carl was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.^[4]

Carl worked at the Weyerhaeuser mill along with his father.^[4] Carl met Frances Lee Peasley in Port Angeles, Washington while living with Fran's parents, Frank and Alice Peasley, Fran was there living with her grandmother, Lucy Amanda (Jones) Neil.^[4] Carl wrote her love letters with verses from popular love songs in them. ^[4]

Carl was a "Pioneer" minister of Jehovah's Witnesses, with 90 hours of service in the door-to-door ministry.^[4]

Carl and Frances married in Raymond, Washington on March 28th, 1953.^[4][6] Carl's father, Firman, officiated the marriage in his role as a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses.

In 1980, the US Government sent Carl to Saudi Arabia to quality inspect lumber for a court case.^[4] Carl was a highly skilled lumber grader, with steadfast integrity.^[4][7]

Unfortunately, on July 13, 1981, Carl and Frances divorced.^[8]

Carl was a writer, scholar, avid reader, and self-published author.^[9] Carl was a member of Mensa and the Western Wood Products Association.^[9] Carl worked in the timber, forest products, and lumber industry for 40 years, retiring in 2000 as a lumber grader.^[9] Carl's views on religion changed from being a Jehovah's Witness in the early 1980s.^[9]

Carl, surrounded by his children, died on April 25, 2003 at a Longview, Washington nursing home.^{[9][10][11][12][13]}
