Biography
Elisabeth, the daughter of James Robertson and Bathia Lindsay was born about 1856 or 7 in Goderich, Canada West. [1] She remained on the farm in Goderich Township in 1871. [2] On May 7th 1874, John Ferris and Elisabeth were married according to Presbyterian rites in Goderich Township. [3]
John died in 1905, but on 5 July 1906, Elizabeth Ferris was enumerated as head of household, married, age 49. Present were Bertha Ferris 35, Bessie Ferris 14, John Ferris 17 and 3 servants. The farm was in Section 6, Township 13, Range 7 west of the first meridian. They had 25 horses 3 milk cows, 35 cattle and 43 hogs. [4]
Elizabeth died 27 Oct 1915 in the rural municipality of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. [5]
