Andrew Jackson Robbins was born January 1, 1835 in Murray, Georgia, the son of Thomas Jefferson Robbins and Mary W. “Polly” Bates. He married three times. On October 21, 1855, Andrew married Margaret M. Wood in Montgomery County, Arkansas; she died before October 21, 1859 when he married Susannah née Mavity Tweedle. She was the widow of John Tweedle (1813-1859) and brought their daughter, Tennessee California “Callie” Tweedle (1855-1936), to the union. Susannah died 1866. That year, he married Nancy Frances Gamblin; they may have had six children, only two are certain. Nancy passed away in 1913.
Andrew served in the CSA as a Lieutenant, in Company I, 33rd Arkansas Infantry.
He died July 19, 1922 and was buried at Rocky Cemetery, Rocky, Polk County, Arkansas.
