Biography

Maria Rizzo is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Carmelo Rizzo and Maria Terrusa, who married in 1837. I estimate Maria is born the following year. She is named after her paternal grandmother.^[1]

Maria marries Simone Provenzano, the son of the late Castrenze Provenzano and Anna Oliveri, on 1 September 1875. Maria's information appears at the bottom of the page in a footnote, having been left out of the record. By this time, Carmelo has died.^[2]

Simone and Maria have at least one child, Anna (c. 1878).

Anna is named after her paternal grandmother.

Anna marries Vincenzo Riina on 6 February 1898.^[3]
