Diane was born in 1953. She was the daughter of Carlyle Ring and Hope Dickenson. She passed away in 2015.

CASTLEWOOD, Va. Diane Hope Ring breathed her last breath of earthly air on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, Va. She is now breathing heavenly air and joins her parents, Carlyle D. Ring and Hope Dickenson Ring, in her eternal home. Diane was born on February 10, 1953 in Germany and lived most of her life in Louisville, Ky. prior to moving to Castlewood, Va. in 2005. She is survived by several aunts and uncles, cousins, and a host of friends and neighbors who she held close to her heart. She was an avid fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels, loved her cats, and all of God's wild creatures that seemed to find their way to her home. One of her special joys was spending time on Tuesdays with her church family at Fort Gibson United Methodist Church. Diane always remained a child at heart and was most comfortable in the presence of children. She worked part-time for H & R Block in Lebanon, Va. and formed some very special friendships with her clients and co-workers. Since early March, she had been a resident at the Maple Grove Health and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 by the Rev. Harry Layell at Temple Hill Memorial Park, 2529 Memorial Drive, Castlewood, Va. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery prior to the service. Her family and friends wish to thank the staff at Maple Grove and the Russell County Medical Center for the special attention that Diane received while in their care. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Diane's memory.
