Mervyn Victor "Merv" Richardson was born in 1893, in Yarramalong, New South Wales, Australia, the son of Archibald George Hearn Richardson and Charlotte Martha Griffiths.
Merv invented both the Victa lawnmower and an Australian propeller plane. He is one of the greatest Australian inventors.
Mervyn Victor Richardson passed away on the 31st December 1972 at St Luke's Hospital, Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Australia,[1] and was cremated with Anglican rites.
