Biography

Hello fellow Wikitree people! Just so people are aware, I am on a rather long hiatus from genealogy to focus on college work and applying for grad school. I apologize for any/the many inconveniences my absence may be causing (I know I did a lot of profiles, but I simply don't have the time or the brainpower to be monitoring them all). If/when I get back, I will try to go back through all of the comments left, but please understand that the response from me will be nowhere near immediate! Thanks for your understanding!

I’ve not heard back from you regarding the 1776 Project check-in so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now.

If you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here

Many thanks,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hi,

I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Betty -- 1776 Project Leader

Hi Quinn,

It's time for a 1776 Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know if you want to continue as a member of the project. We'd like to know:

  • If you are on the right team or if you'd like to make a change. It's a requirement that every 1776 Project member is a part of one of the project's teams, so if you're not assigned to a team, let us know which team you'd like to join.
  • What you think the project is doing well, and what changes you'd like to see us make?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the 1776 Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back.

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

REMINDERS: (1) We use Google Groups for project collaboration and you aren’t yet a member of the group, please submit a join request here (make sure to add your name/WikiTree ID to the request). (2) add GERMANY to your followed G2G tags so you don't miss any discussions in G2G (see: Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags Help:Tags).

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi,

On behalf of the Germany Project, I am currently undergoing our member check-in's and wanted to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the full list. I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google groups for project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup, please submit a join request and we will get that approved as quickly as possible. We also ask that you check your followed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any discussions in G2G.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hardwork. If you have any questions please ask. I would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project!

Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks for the Zug info you sent long ago. I still enjoy it.

Could you expand on your sources for Eby married to Zug? I'd like to merge Bachmann-284 and his wife with other profiles of same, but I'd like more detail on daughter Barbara married to Eby. Can you give details from Eby Book? Michael Bachman's will doesn't show Barbara.

Hi Quinn,

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Southern Colonies Project. As we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to their ancestors. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Hi Quinn,

On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project Leaders, I am doing a check-in with members to see if you were Active in US Southern Colonies in the last two months?

Have you joined the subproject, Southern_Pioneers Project?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to also check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know, and I can help you figure out if there's a project that might interest you. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!

Thanks for Merge of Michael Bachman. It was good to keep your bio information. And it looks like the unsubstantiated father is gone. But, need your authority to connect Michael as brother to Barbara (without a dad).

Quinn,

The 1803 will of Peter Zook mentions his son David. This should calm any fears you might have that this ancestor wasn't married. I have seen mention of a Zug document in .pdf. Is this something other than Harry Zook's book(s). Could I get a copy?

Quinn,

The abandoned Hans Bachman-32 came from one of those data base downloads and had no support. I agree with you that his birth year (the only info) was silly. With a merge, I inherited him. So, I changed the name and date to the values for Michael and am going after a merge to hide Bachman-32 from future use.

You commented Zug-22 that Peter Zug never married. What is the reference for that? This Peter Zook/Zug is (I believe) the Brethren Preacher who married his daughters Deborah and Barbara.

Hi Quinn,

Since you are a member of the 1776 project I was wondering if you would be interested in participating in the US Southern Colonies project that is just now getting started? We are setting up sub projects of it, and each of those will need a leader which as a member you can volunteer to do. If there is an area where you have interest or knowledge we sure could use the help! Please see the project page at: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:US_Southern_Colonies#Scottish or if you would just like to participate in shaping this new project, you can join the google forum at: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/wikitree-us-southern-colonies

Thanks for your consideration!
