Johanna Christina Elizabeth "Elizabeth" REICHEL Sproed was born 28 Jan 1870 in Germany.

Johanna died 31 Dec 1945 in Westminster, Carroll, Maryland, United States.

Elizabeth Reichel Sproed was born near Berlin, Germany, on January 28, 1870, and died in Westminster, Maryland, on December 31, 1945, at the age of seventy-five. She came to America in her early childhood where she found the religious faith she dearly loved and lived for more than fifty years. After her marriage she accompanied her husband, Frederick, to Brazil where he was connected with our educational work. As young missionaries they laid their first son, Harry, to rest in Jesus. Another son, Floyd, born after their return to America, died in infancy. Surviving their mother are five daughters: Mrs. Ruth Fredlund, Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Agnes Ruffcornn, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Lydia Woodard, Gaston, Oregon; Mrs. Mabel McClay, Warrington, Florida; and Mrs. Esther Doss, Westminister, Maryland. The blessed hope of our Saviour's soon coming proved an ever increasing comfort in her last hours. Her view of the promised crown was brightest when she said in verity, "I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness." Interment was in beautiful Meadow Branch cemetery at Westminster, Maryland.^[1]
