Louise Maria Reed was born December 23, 1850 in Grand Blanc, Genesee, Michigan, United States. She was a daughter of Seth Reed, Jr. and Harriet Newall.

She married Charles Henry Stowell.

She died February 22, 1932 in Tucson, Pima, Arizona, United States.
