Biography

Arthur Dee Ramsey was born 22 August 1878 in Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. [1] He was the son of Thomas Burke Ramsey Sr. and Margrete Elizabeth Harrell. In 1880 Arthur is listed as a stepson of James and Mary Harrell, he is actually their grandson through Margrete. Thomas passed away in 1879 and Margrete married David Robinson so in 1900 Arthur was listed as a Robinson in one listing. [2] And as a grandson of James and Mary Harrell in another. [3] Arthur married Maggie Nora Adams 23 October 1901 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. She is show to have been born in 1895, but in the marriage listing it shows her to be 16. [4] He passed away 26 October 1961 in Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. He was interred in Elmwood Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. [1]
