Biography

Ruth was born about 1902. She was the daughter of George (Rabinowicz) Robinson and Jennie Mogilevkin. She married hir first cousin, Fred Kalman, in 1938.^[1] They had no children.^[2]

Ruth was widowed in 1946.^[3] She died in 1985.^[4]

Obituary

Ruth Kalman, 82, of the Jewish Home for the Aged, 99 Hillside Ave., died yesterday at the home. She was the widow of Fred Kalman.

Born in Russia, a daughter of the late George and Jennie Robinson, she lived in Providence since childhood.

Mrs. Kalman was an elementary grade teacher in the Pawtucket school system for more than 30 years before retiring at age 65. She was a graduate of the former Rhode Island College of Education, now Rhode Island College.

She leaves a brother, Mannie Robinson of Marblehead, Mass.

A memorial service will be held at a time and place to be announced.^[6]
