John Hugh Quinn was born on 15 February 1753, in Orange, North Carolina, British Colonial America, his father, Hugh Quinn, was 30 and his mother, Margaret Fondren, was 23. He married Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Morgan about 1785, in York, South Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 13 daughters. He died on 8 August 1813, in St. Clair, Alabama, United States, at the age of 60.
