Parker, the son of William Welsh Pusey and Margery Goodpasture Carlock, was born on 6 February 1889 in Illinois. In the 1900 census Parker (age 11) was the single son of W W Pusey in Nevada Township, Livingston, Illinois, United States.[1]
Parker was the grandson of Abraham Willard Carlock (1800-1884), the great-grandson of Abraham Carlock (1765-1843), War of 1812; and the great-great grandson of Hanchrist John Christian Carlock (abt.1727-1803), American Revolution. Parker was named after his paternal Grandfather Parker Campbell Pusey. He gave his life defending the country his Great Grandfather fought to create. He is remembered still by the Pusey, Carlock and Goodpasture families.
Parker served in World War 1. He was a sergeant in Headquarters Company, 57th Artillery C.A.C.
