Ann (Pugh) Nichols was a convict after the Third Fleet transported to New South Wales
Ann Pugh was born at Lyonshall, Herefordshire, England in about 1785[1][2][3].
Anne Pugh was a convict who had been convicted at the Hereford Assizes on 16 July 1799, aged 14 years, and was sentenced to be transported for 7 years. She left England aboard the "Earl Cornwallis" in August 1800, and arrived at Sydney Cove, New South Wales on 12 June 1801[4][5].
She began a relationship with John Nichols, a First Fleet Convict[6], soon after her arrival, and their oldest son John was born in 1802 and their daughter Ann was born in May 1803.
Ann and John were married on 25 August 1803 in St. John's Church of England, Parramattta, New South Wales, Australia[7][8]and went on to have a further ten children. Their children were John (Pugh) Pugh Nichols, Ann (Pugh Nichols) Kellick, Charles Nichols, Sophia (Nichols) Philp, Mary Nichols, Martha (Nichols) Windley, Amelia (Nichols) Hughes, Susannah (Nichols) Kinsela, Joseph Nichols, Thomas Nichols, Eliza (Nichols) Williams and Sarah (Nichols) Johns
