Matthew Pugh was born in North Carolina.
Matthew P. Pugh was born about 1825, in North Carolina, United States. He was the son of Jesse Pugh and Rebecca Frazier.
He married Polly York on 8 April 1854, in Randolph County, North Carolina.[1] In the 1860 census, Matthew, Mary and their children were recorded living in P.O. Sandy Creek, Eastern Division, Randolph, North Carolina. [2]
