Hello,

I am also researching the Pryde/Pride name as my family had a Non-parental event in 1815 that changed our surname from Pride to Phillips. I have found Eve Pryde Roberts book A Pride of Prydes" https://www.amazon.com/PRIDE-PRYDES-Eve-Pryde-Roberts/dp/1976867851to be very helpful. As well as the Pryde and Pride Project at Family Tree DNA. https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/prydeand-pride/about You do have to upload your DNA results from another site to FTDNA to become a member, but there is no cost involved unless you want to explore your Pryde Y-DNA. And even then, the group has a fund that can be used to defray the cost. Hope this is helpful!
