Biography

William Pryde was born in Scotland.

William Pride/Pryde was born on 17 Sep 1841 at the parish of Largo in Fife, Scotland - second son of Thomas Pride and Margaret Jane Fernie. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

At the time of the 1851 Census, William was a 9 year old schoolboy, second oldest of seven children, living with his parents and siblings at hamlet of Woodside in the parish of Largo, Fife, Scotland. ^{[3] [4]}

At the time of the 1861 Census, William was an 18 year old agricultural farmer, living with his parents and siblings in the parish of Largo, Fife, Scotland.
