Biography

Matteo Provenzano is a Corleone native resident, the son of Pietro and Caterina Provenzano. I estimate he is born around 1725, twenty years before he marries.

Matteo marries Giuseppa Oliveri on 24 February 1745. His parents have died by this time.

Matteo and Giuseppa have at least two children, Caterina (c. 1768) and Pietro (c. 1772).

I have estimated both their children are 20 years old when they marry for the first time. They are named after Matteo's parents.

Caterina marries twice, first to Stefano Addamo on 14 September 1788. The record of her marriage says that her mother has died by this time.

Pietro marries Gaetana Provenzano on 26 November 1792. This marriage record does not indicate that either of his parents have died.

Caterina marries for the second time, to Maestro Giovanni la Vocata, on 6 February 1797. According to this record, Giuseppa has died and Matteo is living.
