Biography

Nancy was born in 1840. She is the daughter of Benjamin Pratt and Catherine Jackson.^[1]

Nancy's story is like so many families in the nineteenth century with the ever westward migration. She is born in Ohio and marries Frederick Burdick on 10 Dec 1857 at Steuben County, Indiana.^[2]

The 1860 Federal Census has Ann and her young family living at Steuben County, Indiana.^[3]

By 1870, Nancy's family has grown and still living in Steuben County, Indiana.^[4]

1880 finds the family living in Herman, Nebraska.^[5] All 4 of Nancy's children are recorded in this enumeration.
