Cedric Popkin is an Anzac who served in World War One.
Cedric Bassett Popkin(Born 20 June 1890, died 26 January 1968) is considered the person most likely to have killed German ace Manfred von Richthofen — also known as the "Red Baron" — on 21 April 1918. Popkin was an anti-aircraft (AA) machine gunner with the First Australian Imperial Force (AIF), during World War I[1]
Cedric Bassett Popkin was born 20 June, 1890.[2] He was the son of Welsh immigrant Dan William Bassett Popkin and Lilian Martha Gilbert.
In 1891 the family were living in Bombala, New South Wales.

He married Nellie Ellen Bull in Queensland in 1913.[4]

"Porthcawl's link to the Red Baron" has notes about his family members, including brother Roland Gilbert Popkin who died in WWI.[8]
