Biography
Almon Lionel (named after his grandfather, Almon H.) was born in Cookshire, Quebec on the 7th of May, 1953. He attended Cookshire High School (old Cookshire Academy) up until 1969 and finished his secondary education at the newly built Alexander Galt Regional High School in Lennoxville, Quebec. He worked as a supply/delivery clerk at Arno Ltd. in Sherbrooke,Qc., machine operator at General Plastics in Cookshire, Janitorial & maintenance as well as night watchman at the Sherbrooke Hospital (now the Argyle Center), Ingersoll Rand in Sherbrooke, Standish Brothers Ltd. in Cookshire as a truck driver/supervisor. He began his own business, Acatshadow Inc., (1992-2004) subcontracting work for Standish Ltd. in the Maritime provinces of Canada and Newfoundland. He later worked as postmaster clerk and supply shop manager at Bishop's College School in Lennoxville up until his retirement. Almon and his family lived in Cookshire from 1953 to 2002 before taking up residence in Lennoxville, (Sherbrooke) Quebec where he now lives.
