Biography

Flora was born during on 25 January 1884 in Illinios. She passed away Craighead County, Arkansas on 14 Nov 1950 and was buried in the Caraway Cemetery, Caraway, Arkansas. ^[1]

1900 Census: Flora Pollard is living with her parents, John (52) and Mary (39) Pollard, in Mount Carmel, Illinois. The record notes that Flora was 14 and born in Illinois during January of 1886. Flora's siblings Lucy (12), Mary (10), and John (5) are also listed as members of the household. ^[2]

4 Feb 1902: Flora Nevada Pollard and Claudious A Barrett were married in Gibson County, Indiana.^[3][4]

1920 Census: Flora and Claud A (40) Barrett are living in the Black Oak Township of Craighead County, Arkansas. The record indicates that Flora was 34 and born in Illinois. The couple have 4 children in their home: Doyle E (16), Ravelle O (12), Delbert (8), and newly born Argel N Barrett.^[5]

1930 Census: Flora Barrett continues to live in the Black Oak Township with three of her children: Rovell (21), Argill (10), and Lorine (6). The record shows that Flora was widowed, 44 years old, born in Illinois, and that she was 19 when she married.^[6]
