Georges Plante, son of Jean Plante and Françoise Boucher, was born in 1659 in Quebec, Canada, Nouvelle-France. [1]


Georges was the 4th oldest of 12 children. In the 1681, he was still living with his parents.

On November 5, 1685, Georges, 27, married Marguerite Crepeau, 17, from just across the river in the parish of Château-Richer, daughter of Maurice Crépeau and Marguerite Laverdure, in St-Pierre, Île d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France. [2][3]

Georges and Marguerite had 10 children, their first, Marguerite Plante, was born on December 31, 1686 in Saint-Jean, Île d'Orléans.

Georges passed away February 17, 1718 in St-Jean, Île d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France.
