I am interested in my personal genealogy. My current project is finding my maternal line, hopefully finding connections through DNA matching.

I currently live in Brooklyn, though my family is mostly based in the south.

Apparently we're cousins because we share a common ancestor: Von_Houser-2

16 on their scale of cousinhood

I thought I'd say hi anyway because I don't know how many more Houser's you're related to. Von_Houser-2 is in my father's direct ancestor list being how he's a Houser.

I hope you're still active and I can look at your tree of Housers to see if it is similar to mine...

Hello Amanda,

I decided to stop meddling for now trying to connect possible ancestors, I've caused quite a stir the the profile managers lives, so I'll sit back for now. I took the DNA test Y12 yrs ago and waited for so long for matches to come and they didn't, so just recently I took a leap and started finding my matches thru my DNA matches comparisons and started connecting but this is not the right way to go, because WikiTree follows birthdates and adds, I want to use my DNA, if I update my testing just how far can I reach into the past for my ancestors, can you tell me? sincerely, Darrel

Hey Amanda. Do you know if this Charles Pitt that married Sarah Hardy is the same Pitt that married Ann Hunnicutt. Many sites have him married to both women. I have documentation that he married the Hunnicutt woman. But I don't know if it's the same man.

I got a request to merge profiles for Patrick Boyd, but wasn't able to do so. Now see that you have posted a message to me that you don't think the profiles should be merged, that they need more research. My original info is from an old "Grissom" family history from 25+ years ago, and I do not know of any primary source records that would help in this case. I do have info from a Christian County (KY) Family history book (page 50) that only says this (Paraphrased): Early in the 18th Century, George & Isabella Boyd emigrated to the Chester/ Lancaster, PA area from County Atrium, Ulster in Northern Ireland. There were 5 sons: George, Jr., Patrick, John, James and Robert... I will be glad to turn over profile management to you if that will help.
