Biography

John was born in 1937 in Dunbar Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, as the son of Emmet R. Piper and Mary A. Kincell.[1] [2]. He has a twin brother, Thomas Wright. [3]

He was enumerated in the household of his father, Emmet R. Piper, in the US Federal Census on 15 April 1940 in Dunbar, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. The census shows him as being 2 years old.[4]

He enlisted in the US Air Force on 10 January 1955 and was discharged on 30 January 1959.[5]

On 15 November 1969, he married Carole Ann Hitchner in Edgewater Park, Burlington County, New Jersey.[6]

John and Carole had one child, Kelley Virginia, who was born on 2 January 1972 in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey.[7]

He lived from 1975 until his death in 2003 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey and worked first at the A&P and then at Acme Markets.[8]

He died on 23 September 2003 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey. He was interred on 29 September 2003 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, Burlington County, New Jersey.[9]
