Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Donna, and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in the United Kingdom. I wanted to let you know we have a great new project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.

You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the United Kingdom Project will be happy to help you in any way they can.

Thank you so much for joining WikiTree. Good luck with your research.

Hi again Donna,

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one Profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need help getting started, check out the Help section from the Menu, top right.

Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House. You might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

If you are experiencing a specific problem, you can reach out to our Mentor Team They are a very friendly group of people

Welcome, and Good Luck!

HI!

My Piper family came from Wheatacre, Norfolk, UK to the USA in 1836. They settled in Seneca, Ontario, NY and Eaton, Michigan before scattering more widely to other places in the USA.
