Biography

Grace (Pinnock) Marsh was born in Jamaica.

Grace Elizabeth Pinnock was born in Jamaica in 1822. She was the daughter of Philip Pinnock, who owned land in Jamaica and Charlotte Anna Caroline Lee, his wife.^[1]

Grace married her first cousin, John Milbourne Marsh on 26th January 1848 in St Marylebone, London. ^[2][3]

Grace (Pinnock) Marsh migrated from England to New South Wales.

During their voyage on the Walmar Castle to settle in the Colony of New South Wales, their only child was born, George Augustus Milbourne Marsh (known as Millie). They settled at Demondrill (near Murrumburrah), New South Wales, on land that Milbourne already owned from his previous visit to New South Wales.

In 1869 Milbourne was appointed Police Magistrate for Bathurst, New South Wales, a position he held until 1874 before taking a post in Sydney. ^[4]

Grace died (age 75) in New Zealand on 27 March 1897.^[5][6]
