John George Pike, son of William Pike (Green-grocer) and Alice Brown, was born on 24 Aug 1872, at Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. ^[1]

John (Bachelor, age 24, Grocer, son of William Fowler Pike, Grocer, and Alice Brown) married Flora Levenia Filleul (Spinster, age 24, daughter of James William Filleul, Farmer, and Jane Friar) on 12 May 1897 at Kindred, Forth, Ulverstone, Tasmania. ^{[2] [3]}

John died in 1959 in New Zealand. He was buried at Hamilton Park Cemetery ((plot: CHRRY-03-49), Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand. ^[4] His gravestone reads:
